Long-established contractor, Peter Evans Flooring, has changed its name to Peter Evans Contract Interiors (PE Contracts for short) as part of a major rebranding project and to reflect the increasingly diverse range of services offered.

Having traditionally concentrated on sports flooring, wood, carpet and vinyls, the company has now added ceramic tiling of floors and walls, partitioning and walling, suspended ceilings, electrics and decoration to its list of options.

The family run company was established in 1967 and has since grown into one of the UK’s premier specialist contractors. Their extensive experience includes major contracts in retail, leisure, health, education, hotels and hospitals. Following the retirement of Peter Evans in 2006, the company is now run by the Directors and by Peter’s son, Dominic Evans.

Dominic explains: “The company has grown and evolved over 42 years of business and we felt that now was a perfect opportunity to rebrand as it coincides with the launch of our new turn key solution for businesses. Our success lies in the fact that we have specialists in each area of the operation, all of the work is done by time served craftsmen and in house, we have a wealth of experience and the ability to solve problems. By expanding our range of services, we are able to provide a ‘one stop shop’ for our customers and reduce the number of individual sub-contractors they need to co-ordinate and manage. We work in partnership with our clients to understand their needs and recommend the right product for the environment.

“The new logo and branding celebrates the company’s history but also reflects our professional and progressive approach and the future direction we are taking. It’s a great chance to dispel the myth that ‘we don’t just do carpets’.”

With a reputation built on honesty and quality of service, it is no wonder that the company has some incredibly loyal customers. PE Contracts fitted out the first Mothercare shop in 1977 and the company has worked on every unit since during the last 32 years. Current projects include work for Virgin Active, Esporta, Leisure Connection, Odeon Cinemas, Bhs, Celticc Manor Golf Club, Rhondda Hospital and the Universities of Swansea, Cardiff and Glamorgan. The company employs 16 people at its Head Office in South Wales as well as a team of 35 full time site installers.
